Reposado

Reposado meaning “rested” are tequilas aged in Oak Barrels for a period of 2 to 12 months. These tequilas are influenced by the barrels without over-shadowing the characteristics of the agave. Each distillery has its preference for the type of barrels used for aging whether new, used, toasted, charred or steamed the are carefully selected to create the desired flavor. These differences, the resins and tannins, residues exuded have a dramatic impact on the finished product.

Extra Añejo

Any tequila aged more than 3 years is classified as an extra añejo. With this extended amount of aging, the spirit becomes much darker in color and richer in flavor often dominated by the barrels they are contained in. These extra añejo’s are smooth, yet very complex and often limited in production.

Aging in Wild Turkey Bourbon barrels provides a truly unexpected complex finish with roasted agave, vanilla, and wood with hints of dried fruits and butterscotch.

Pura Vida Añejo
Aged for a minimum of one year in American oak bourbon barrels, this tequila boasts flavors of caramel and wood that finishes with the spice of cinnamon and coffee.

Tres Agaves Añejo
Maturing in Woodford Reserve oak barrels for 18 months creates a truly memorable tequila. Time, oak, and mature agave present layers of taste that are exquisite. Honeycomb, nougat, and ginger with a lingering smoky finish.

Specialty Tequila Flight 24

Clase Azul Reposado
Clase Azul is aged for a minimum of eight months in small oak barrels. Bourbon, Cognac, and Sherry casks are all used in the aging process and the tequila is then blended together for bottling. This aging period and the use of these different barrels gives it a truly unique profile. Distinct flavors, aromas, as well as an excellent balance within the palate are all worth experiencing.

Don Julio 70th Anniversary
The world’s first clear añejo. It has the smoothness of a blanco but the complexity of an añejo. Aged 18 months in American oak, then filtered this spirit shines with notes of vanilla, butterscotch and toasted oak.

Avion 44
Avion 44 Reserva Extra Añejo is aged 43 months in large oak barrels before spending a final month in specially selected petite barrels, which are rotated daily. The smoothness, complexity and flavors present in this tequila will truly astound. Although an extra añejo, the agave in this tequila is never overshadowed by the flavors from the barrel. Honey, toffee and caramel mingle with earth and fiber. Definitely a favorite among many of our bartenders.
